4) A specific type of musical events attended by children in their free time can be musical performances: opera, operetta, musical comedy, musical, ballet, rock opera.

Opera is a genre of musical and dramatic art, in which the stage action is closely merged with vocal and orchestral music. Its literary and dramatic basis is a libretto (lyrical text).

Operetta is a type of musical theater that combines vocal and instrumental music, dance and ballet with elements of pop art. The musical drama of operetta is usually based on the verse song and dance.

Musical is a musical and scenic genre that combines features of opera, operetta, and drama, and musically relies on the expressive techniques and tools of modern pop and street music.

Ballet is a performance, the content of which is embodied in musical and choreographic images. At the heart of a classical ballet performance there is a certain plot (dramatic concept, libretto).

Rock opera is a musical and dramatic genre, linked to the musical and created on the basis of expressive means of rock music. Dramaturgically, rock opera is constructed as a chain of separate numbers (aria, monologue, choral scene, dialogue, etc.). The stage embodiment of rock opera is usually associated with eccentric techniques (the use of various tricks when performing on unusual musical instruments, such as a saw) and purely pop effects (sound, lighting).
